Phil Dixon took over as Managing Director, changing the name from Advanced IT Training to Advanced IT Services – expanding to provide services and products to the growing IT industry.

AIT’s first Data Centre officially opened for business in Derby and began accepting new customers.

AIT embarked upon building their 1Gbps core infrastructure around the East Midlands to provide high throughput and low latency symmetrical connections to our customers.

The completion of AIT’s network enabled the delivery of next generation IT support, the complete ‘server-less’ infrastructure, with everything the customer needs accessible from anywhere in the world.

AIT’s continued expansion of their network enhances the points of presence and availability to both the Education and private sector. We have great plans for this year to continually increase our network speed and expand to more of the UK.

AIT has expanded on their team by hiring staff to fill roles of varying levels.

Since AIT expanded their workforce, they now focused on expanding the office space and have officially moved to Beechwood Park. The move was part of a multimillion pound investment into the future of AIT and acquiring a former Cold War Bunker which has now been repurposed as a second Data Centre to support the continued growth of the business.

2022 marks the beginning of some of AIT’s most exciting expansion plans to date. Launching a dedicated hosting site, building the team further and investing further into The Bunker Data Centre to become one of the largest privately owned facilities in the UK.
